Gorbel is an innovator and leader in today’s material handling industry. Their enclosed track work station cranes have provided countless overhead solutions. Gorbel offers ceiling mounted bridge cranes and monorails, freestanding work station bridge cranes, work station jib cranes, and even gantry cranes quickly and accurately. They even have a website you can use to design and plan out your application.

Enclosed track work station cranes are ideal for a rectangular coverage. Their enclosed track design protects the track from dust and dirt while providing a very smooth ride.  With their 2 Ton capacity and a span of 30’ between support columns and an overall bridge length of 34’, you can work around any assembly line or machine. The pre-engineered modular design allows them to easily expand with the work area.

The work station cranes are available to mount to the ceiling if your work area needs to be free of support structures.  Monorails and multiple bridges can be installed to increase productivity.  If your building’s overhead structure cannot support a ceiling mounted crane, Gorbel offers freestanding work station bridge cranes.  Their trussed steel track permits longer spans, up to 30' between support columns , giving you more flexibility in the layout.

Where as work station cranes are ideal for rectangular coverage, work station jib cranes and articulating jib cranes are ideal for circular coverage, reaching around corners, and obstacles.  They can be mounted to the ceiling, wall, column, or even floor as a freestanding jib crane.  Depending on the model, spans can go up to 20’ with a 2 ton capacity.

If you want to design your own application, Gorbel provides an internet based service called Crane Brain.  Crane Brain lets you choose the type of product and enter the key dimensions.  Crane Brain knows each product’s limitations so you are prevented from building an unsound structure with the criteria you provide.  Upon completion, Crane Brain creates a drawing.
