The American dream began when our President and Founder, Ralph Wismer, started the company in January of 1982 with an investment of $1,000. Ralph traded his motorcycle for a truck and purchased a typewriter. He ran his new business out of his apartment and garage. Later he rented storage space from an old swim club as a warehouse and shop.
The company moved to its current location in 1986. In April of 1995, Zenmar expanded its combined office and warehouse facility to over 15,000 square feet. In December of 2008, Zenmar renovated the warehouse and shop areas to maximize the efficiency of the Repair Center, Test Center and machining area. |

Many people have asked over the years, "What's With the Dog"?
In 1990, Ralph Wismer, President of Zenmar brought "Puppy" to Zenmar. Puppy was an eight week old yellow Labrador Retriever. In today's world, too often in business, everything is black and white. Ralph decided that he would use Puppy as part of the Zenmar logo. And so it began. The Labrador has been a part of our logo since 1990. Puppy has always been displayed with the signature hard hat. As we purchased newer Zenmar vehicles his likeness graced the vans. He quickly became recognized as the Zenmar mascot.

In 1998, Reilly joined the Zenmar team. Eleven year old Reilly was our present mascot. Today, you will find the dog on anything that has Zenmar on it. Each year the Zenmar Holiday card is a picture of the dog. In fact, some customers keep the collection of these cards over the years at their place of business.

| Sadly on March 23, 2010, Zenmar said goodbye to Reilly, our beloved Mascot. Zenmar has received many offerings of sympathy and condolences since Reilly's passing. We take this time to thank each and everyone who has remembered him to us. |
