Equipment Repair Technician/Installation

 

Zenmar Power Tool and Hoist Systems is searching for an Equipment Repair Technician.  Individual will also learn our installation segment of the business.  We service various industries in the Tri-State region.  This is a full-time position.  We assemble and customize various material handling solutions & systems, monorails, workstation cranes, bridge cranes and gantry cranes.  Our company also performs hoists and crane inspections in the field.  We perform various other services for our extensive customer base.  Repair of high pressure hydraulics, many pneumatic tools, diaphragm pumps, etc. are also performed at our facility. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Safety First!

  • Layout, rig, assemble and load test customized workstation crane systems, including but not limited to:  monorails, workstation bridge cranes, Patented Track or I-Beam bridge cranes, jib cranes and gantry cranes.

  • Electrical terminations of 3 ph. motors; Installation and trouble shooting of 120VAC and 24VDC control systems.

  • Perform and document onsite hoist and crane inspections.

  • Repair of pneumatic tools, diaphragm pumps, high pressure hydraulics

  • Work with inside Installation Coordinator and Outside Sales to plan and execute jobs.

  • Represent the company professionally while in our customers' facilities.  Dialogue with our customers regarding project details, and communicate these conversations to the Inside Installation Coordinator.

  • Provide onsite technical assistance, and problem solving.

  • Applicants should possess strong mechanical/electrical diagnostic capability and can work independently and can provide solutions.

HOURS:       

The primary base hours are 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  This can vary depending on the customer requirements.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum - High School Diploma

  • Minimum one year relevant experience

  • Equivalent combination of education, vocational training and experience will be considered.

  • Applicant must provide a full set of hand tools.  The company does provide specialty tools, as needed.

  • Previous leadership capabilities a plus

  • Valid drivers' license

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects

  • Fork lift Experience

  • Scissor/Man Lift Experience

  • Structural Welding Certification a plus.

  • DOT Medical will be performed
